Kongo River Experience
Pick up at the hotel at 16:30 hrs and drive for the next 20 minutes to a point where the famous Kongo river empties into the sea and hence the barrier between Diani Beach and the less touristic but magnificent Tiwi Beach.
We will then gather at the starting point at 5pm and do a short tour of the famous Estuary and the Kongo Mosque (one of the oldest mosques in east Africa) and the magnificent graveyard as well as the enormous baobab trees in front of the Mosque. (Slave trade gathering point)
At around 5.10pm we will get on a canoe and start our sunset sail. Get ready to experience the most serene, relaxing, scenic sunset ride.

The captain is an experienced guide who will take you through the mangroves explaining the history of the place, unique features, birds and other small marine life you may spot. For bird lovers and bird watchers, you will love this trip. Some minutes before the sun sets, the local experience awaits; a sip of traditional palm wine with some local snacks for sundowner.
Once the sun has set, we will make our way back to the beach and embark on the journey back to the hotel.
